I wanted to kick off the blog with a hole in the wall that I’ve always wanted to try while living in Virginia! I pass by this place almost weekly and decided to give it a shot with my son, Levi. The restaurant is located in Yorktown, VA.

When you walk in, British memorabilia adorns the walls along with a rack of various snacks from across the water!

The whole establishment fits roughly seven tables, so Levi and I snagged a small table in the back corner. There was already a family of three sitting down when we walked in, as well as a line of Door Dasher drivers waiting for their orders.
The main dish attraction is the obvious Fish and Chips, so I decided to try the Haddock. Since Levi’s diet literally consists of French Fries, Chicken Nuggets, and strawberries, he was right at home! Chicken tenders for the win! (Which were actually very good!)

Since it was a British Themed establishment, I decided to also try the mushy peas, which I admit looks like baby poop, but it was actually pretty good! Highly recommend the Haddock if you every decide to give this place a try, the fillet was not mushy or rubbery like many bad baskets I’ve had in the past. They also used some good seasoning for the chicken tenders, which Levi really loved!
If you’re not a big Fish and Chips fan, they do have other options such as burgers and fish sandwiches. Here’s a link to their website and menu: https://www.lineskipapp.com/store_front/order_menu/WE1xbVY0NGh5REdXSVllMm5vcklkdz09
If you ever pass through Yorktown, be sure to check out this cool little place, highly recommend it!
